It’s time for one last kiss goodbye!

Since May 2018 The Kissing Booth franchise has grown to become a hit Netflix movie franchise, but like all good things it had to come to an end.

On August 11, 2021 Netflix released the final Kissing Booth instalment, but even after the release the cast member Trent Rowe says that it will always be a part of his life.

I had the chance to sit down with Trent (virtually) to talk all about The Kissing Booth franchise, saying goodbye to characters, dream bucket list ideas, and more!

Rowe and his character Melvin both grew so much from the start of the series to now. With over 29.3K followers on Instagram and a character loved by so many, Rowe said the whole experience has been amazing!

“It's actually amazing! Because Kissing Booth was my first ever professional gig and it was the first role I ever booked so it's kinda like I've grown with the franchise as well, as an actor and a person,” said Rowe.

Besides booking an impressive first ever gig with Netflix, Rowe was quick to say that one of his favorite parts of being on set was being able to learn more while working.

“I think just learning everything about the film industry and about working on sets and working in a professional environment was great,” Rowe said. “I learned a lot from Joey (King). Watching her work and being in a scene with her… you learn a lot from her because she's a very giving acting partner and she led the film so beautifully, I think and she was the perfect Lead for the film.”

Even with the franchise ending, both the movies and the bonds made from them will last forever.

“We all just automatically clicked and the bonds and the relationships we made grew so much since the first film. We all got so much closer and we got to spend a lot more time together and it was just really nice to see how the relationship blossomed with everyone.” Rowe said.
